The short version
No cookies. No tracking pixels. No Google Analytics. No Meta Pixel. Analytics are cookieless via Plausible. The only data collected is what you voluntarily submit through a contact form or newsletter signup.

What data we collect and why
Contact and brief forms
When you submit a brief or contact form, we collect: your organization name, email address, selected services, project scope, and any message you include. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and scope a proposal. Forms are processed by Netlify Forms and forwarded to our secure inbox. Netlify's privacy policy applies to transmission and storage: netlify.com/privacy . Form submissions are retained for 90 days in Netlify and deleted on request.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored by Buttondown. We do not send tracking pixels in emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or from the footer "Manage subscription / Unsubscribe" link on this site. Buttondown's privacy policy: buttondown.email/legal/privacy.
Analytics
This site uses Plausible Analytics — a privacy-first, cookieless analytics platform. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, does not track users across sites, and is fully GDPR and CCPA compliant without a cookie consent banner. No IP addresses are stored. Data is aggregated and anonymous. Plausible's privacy policy: plausible.io/privacy.
Fonts
All fonts are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, or any external font CDN.
Cookies
This site sets zero cookies. No consent banner is required because no tracking mechanisms are in place. Plausible operates without cookies.
OSINT and Security engagement data
For OSINT and Security engagements, additional personal data may be collected as part of the authorization process — including government-issued identification and signed authorization documents. This data is:
- Collected only with explicit consent
- Stored in encrypted, access-controlled systems
- Used solely to verify authorization before work begins
- Retained only for the duration of the engagement plus a 12-month legal hold period
- Never shared with third parties without explicit written consent
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — request your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to processing of your data
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
EU/EEA residents (GDPR): The data controller is Baud Haus Ops, Eugene, OR, United States. Legal basis for processing contact form data is legitimate interest (responding to inquiries). Legal basis for newsletter is consent (opt-in). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Data transfers
Form data is processed by Netlify (US). Newsletter data is processed by Buttondown (US). Analytics data is processed by Plausible (EU — servers in the EU, operated under GDPR). No data is transferred to countries without adequate protection frameworks outside these processors.

This site may link to external services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites. This policy applies to baudhausops.com only.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
